Why is the cost of medications so much lower overseas?
Pharmaceutical companies set their prices based on what the average
person in a particular country can pay. Think about it for a moment. If the
prices for prescription drugs were the same in Calcutta India as they are in New
York City, NY, the cost of one prescription would cost a years salary - no one
could afford those prices, so no one would buy medicine.
This "price
fixing" has been going on for many years, so less developed countries pay a
fraction of what more developed countries pay for prescriptions.
The problem has
been, how do you contact a pharmacy in India, Mexico, Thailand or another less
developed country to take advantage of these rock bottom prices? Until recently
the only solution was to visit the country and have your prescription filled
while traveling abroad. But not anymore! We provide instant access to these
pharmacies.

Do overnight carriers ship from Mexico to the U.S.?
Yes, Federal Express, Airborne Express and USPS will all ship from
Mexico to the U.S. Some use a local Mexican agent but provide fast service with
tracking ability. Several Mexican border pharmacies have mailing addresses in
the U.S. for reliable mail service and some even have U.S. telephone numbers.
They are all listed in the Pharmacy Seek.
I can't speak Spanish, does that matter and how about currency?
It should be no problem for most people working for a Mexican border
pharmacy speak English. American dollars are very
acceptable and there is no need to change your money to Mexican Pesos in Mexican
cities.

Are the drugs the same in Mexico?
Many drugs are identical in name and dosage and are produced by the
same big name pharmaceutical manufacturers in Mexico. Sometimes the names are
latinized but the products are just the same. I take Proscar manufactured by
Merck. It has
the same Proscar name in Mexico but the chemical name Finasteride is changed to
Finasterida south of the border. The familiar Pepcid becomes Pepcidine but
despite the latinized name you can still see the prominent MSD trademark. One of
our online Mexican Pharmacies lists every drug by its US and Mexican name.

Is it safe?
Yes, but make sure you get the correct drugs! Ask your U.S. pharmacist
for the 'package insert' of your drug for the
foriegn pharmacist to use for comparison and cross reference. You can always send
those details by fax for the first time to
be sure you have the right drug.
